King Charles IV (1316-1378), Czech king and Holy Roman Emperor, founded Central Europe’s first university and built many of Prague’s great Gothic monuments in the Bohemian “golden age”.

* the banknote is 140 mm long and 69 mm wide with tolerance ą1.5 mm; the coupon is 36 mm wide; the windowed thread is located 56 mm from the left margin with tolerance ą 6 mm
* the blind code is in the top right corner and consists of one vertical stripe 8 mm long
* printing techniques: the portrait, texts, blind code, the denomination on the coupon - intaglio printing; other - offset printing
